An Elmwood Ave Adventure

Elmwood Avenue is known throughout the area as the hippest part of the city of Buffalo.  With countless unique shops, restaurants, coffee shops and it’s inherent artsy vibe, it definitely qualifies as my favorite part of the city.  Elmwood Avenue itself is only about a 2-5 minute drive from D’Youville.  Starting from campus, take Porter toward the East until it turns into North Street and about a block after that you hit Elmwood. Hang a left to head North on Elmwood and the adventure begins.

I start my day with (what else?) a little shopping. First stop, Everything Elmwood.

Thousands of Miles Away From Home

Students from all over the country and several parts of the world attend D’Youville College to further their education (25 states and 26 countries to be exact).  I thought it would be interesting to hear about what it is like to be an out-of-state student so far away from home.  So I talked with freshman Jazmine Espinda who is from Honolulu, Hawaii and enrolled in D’Youville’s undergraduate pharmacy program.
