If you are anything like the majority of college students, your have your phone on hand at all times. It come in handy to Google words your professor uses that no one else understands, fake a conversation to avoid talking to your roommate between classes, or play Words With Friends during your down times (not in class…that’s just crazy).

One of the most useful apps I have on my phone is Twitter. When the tweet craze broke out a few years back, I downloaded the app to see what it was all about. After a few weeks of use, I understood what all the hype was about. It takes some time to find the kind of people you want to follow, and figure out the kinds of things your going to tweet about. Walking Taco, DYC-Style

The start of a beautiful thing.

Before I was even enrolled as a student at D’Youville College I knew and had experienced the great joy that is a Walking Taco. In the most basic terms, it’s a taco…that you can walk with. Now I find myself waiting for that email from the infamous D’Youville “DL Manager” that says it’s a walking taco kind of day. When that e-mail finds my inbox (and it’s always at the time during the semester when it’s really needed), I’m in a mad dash to find the location on campus where the stand is and make sure I am first in line.

Lending a Hand in New Orleans

One of the greatest perks of going to D’Youville is the abundance of opportunities to volunteer in the communities of Buffalo, and even those of distant cities. Since attending D’Youville I have been offered countless opportunities to build a resume full of community service activities (Those DL Manager e-mails are worth reading sometimes!). Campus Ministries is a great place to start looking for a way to give back if its something that interests you.
