Snowpocalypse 2014 is what everyone is calling the monster snowstorm that hit Buffalo and the surrounding areas. It all started early Tuesday morning on November 18th.
I confidently told my doubtful roommates, “We are totally getting a snow day tomorrow,” and sure enough we were woken by the cancellation at 6:38am. Little did I know what snowpocalypse had in store for us. Not one, not two, but THREE SNOW DAYS!! Three days of fun, freedom, and no school! After each cancellation everyone was ecstatic, twitter blew up, and toasts were made. The excitement of the snow days could not be contained and I was happier than a tornado in a trailer park!

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner on Friday, February 14 and if you are dating anyone they are expecting to celebrate their relationship with you. Valentine’s Day is all about kind gestures, romance, and sharing love with one another. Valentine’s Day can be pricey, but I am going to give both the guys and the ladies a few Valentine’s Day ideas to fit their budget. Traditionally, Valentine’s Day has been viewed as a holiday for the women so I am going to start with ideas for the guys.
Over Christmas break I went down to New Orleans, Louisiana for a week with several other D’Youville students and staff members to perform volunteer work. The trip is called Lending a Hand and you can read more about the history of the trip in my blog about last year’s trip.
